I thought it would be fun to try my own version of a famous painting. I worked on this one by Vermeer "girl with a red hat" last night. I read that he would spend a lot of time on each painting, only finishing 5 or 6 pieces a year. My favorite painting by him is "Girl with a Pearl Earring"
