# 184 - "Late Summer Day"

I painted this scene from a photo taken in early September.  My sister and I were driving home from our beach trip.  She drove.  I noticed so many gorgeous scenes looking out the window.  I took maybe 20 photos just pointing my camera out the window as she drove 60 maybe 70 mph.  To my surprise I had some pretty good photos to use for reference.  This particular day was sky was deep blue with fluffy and interesting clouds.  I am going to use the photos for some upcoming paintings.  I noticed today the challenge on The Daily Paintworks website is painting clouds, I think I may submit this painting and try the reference photo posted on the challenge as well.
