# 147 - Glass Vase with Flowers

Today I painted this still life using some cut flowers, a glass vase and a green apple.  I love the color and the shape of this vase.  I am not sure of the name of the flowers, they have pinkish purple little clusters.  I discovered the flowers are not so great for cutting however, they are drooping and wilting after being in the vase just a few hours.  I finished the painting in time at least.

Very nice composition, Debi. I think I have used the same flower indoors. They make a mess, and are better used for painting!

Yes, some flowers are best left growing in the flower box.
