# 273 - Mountains and Clouds

Original Oil on Ampersand Panel, 6" x 8",

Day 23 of 30 Challenge

Today I used an old oil painting that was in the throw away pile and painted over it.  Sometimes if there is alot of texture I will sand it down to get a smooth surface before painting over it.  This one was already smooth so no need.  It was fun to paint this one, once again I used photos and memories for my inspiration..

Thank you for stopping by and having a look!

Your wonderful with landscapes, love these last two! It is a great thing about oil that you can easily paint over old paintings, I keep my old watercolors for scrap paper.

Thank you Sue and Celia, I am having fun with this challenge. I have ordered a few instructional DVD's and books with hopes I can improve with values and composition as I have always struggled in those areas a bit.

I appreciate your encouraging comments!
